Having a blog page on your website is essential for several reasons, and even if you don't like writing or don't have the time, there are still ways you can get a fabulous regular blog schedule going.
Blog benefits
Blogging can bring a wide range of benefits to businesses of all sizes.
Here are some of the main benefits of blogging:
1. New content ALL THE TIME!
Blogging allows you to create fresh and relevant content that can drive traffic to your website. When you regularly update your blog with new and engaging content, you give visitors a reason to return to your website.
This can also improve your search engine rankings, as search engines favor websites with fresh and relevant content.
Plus, it offers constant content to share on your social media and in your newsletters.
2. Authority advantage
A blog page can help establish you and your brand as an authority in your industry. By providing valuable information and insights, you can position yourself as a thought leader and build trust and credibility with your audience.
3. Promotion peak
A blog page can be an effective way to promote your products or services. By creating content that relates to your products or services, you can subtly promote them and showcase their benefits.
4. SEO success
Blogs help with SEO?
Yes, they sure do!
If you are publishing blogs regularly, (once a month, once a week - up to you!) then you are creating new content for your website which Google can then crawl (crawling helps your SEO rankings).
As well as the crawling benefits, you can also use blogs to target keywords and phrases which your ideal customer might be searching for.
Now, we don't stuff the keywords in - that's a throwback to the old days of black hat SEO and "keyword stuffing".
And it's not good. Rather we carefully place the chosen keyword or phrase in the title, the image alt tags, and the meta title description.
5. Read all about it...
Blogs can also be a great place to share news (new staff member? new office location? exciting new client?)
Beleive it or not, your audience actually wants to see what's happening behind the scenes. It can help to drive connection and loyalty.
Blogs for Business
In summary, having a blog page on your website is crucial for driving traffic, establishing authority and credibility, fostering community, promoting your products or services, and showcasing your brand's personality and voice.
