As an independent contractor and business owner, I understand how to work efficiently and use my skills and experience to help your business. This is how I onboard a new client...

1. Discovery call: we get together on Skype or Zoom for a chat, and also fill out my New Client Questionnaire 

2. Scope of work: once I know you a little better, and we've discussed what you need, I will send you a quote

3. Quote phase: most writing projects will be a set package rate; while ad-hoc Virtual Assistant tasks are more likely to be set on an hourly rate

4. Making it happen: as soon as you give me the first project brief, I’ll go off and get the work done!​​

5. Quality and reassurance: all copywriting projects are quoted to INCLUDE research, writing, editing, proofreading, and SEO optimization  - PLUS two free rounds of changes

I also have confidentiality agreements in place to protect your IP or I am happy to sign your agreements.

What if you actually like to write?


Surely then you don’t need a copywriter? Maybe you would be better to invest in a proof-reader or editor. Guess what? Many copywriters also take on proof-reading and editing projects!


I love reading other people’s work and nit-picking for a typo or formatting irregularity.


  • My proof-reading services are happily serving several clients every month and turn around times can be fairly quick.

  • With editing, this takes proof-reading and raises the bar considerably. Editing goes deeper into the structure of the blog/web copy/case study etc. This process mixes things up by moving sections, re-writing paragraphs and culling unnecessary words. It often still involves a proof-read by default, and obviously takes a little longer.

Hi, I’m Rachel

It's only natural to want to know a little more about me before we start working together! So here goes:

I love to drink endless cups of tea while working

I have an unusual birthday

I love to organise

Sadly, I can recite every episode of Friends

Outside of work, I'm usually found juggling two energetic children (while trying to look sophisticated on the school run) alongside positions on the committee of my local Book Club and local Playgroup.


In-between all that, I enjoy hiking or running...

...or binge-watching a new TV series while enjoying a cup of tea or a glass of wine (red or white, thanks for asking)!

Professional experience 

I worked as an EA, PA, and Marketing Assistant for almost a decade, and since starting my freelance career, I have only added to that experience. I also have a degree in Communications & Marketing. 

I have worked in many industries including Publishing, Finance, Training & Development, Health & Fitness, and in a galaxy far, far away – I worked in Childcare.


SB Creations allows me to work flexible hours, and do the work I enjoy the most. I work with clients all over the country - in fact, the whole world! I'm easy to work with and enjoy collaborating.
