If you’re stuck staring at a blank screen wondering:“What on earth do I post?”  then you’re not alone.

I work with clients every day to plan, create, and schedule content, and I’ve seen first-hand what works (and what doesn’t).

Social media is one of the most powerful marketing tools you’ve got - but only if you use it well. Done right, it builds trust, grows your audience, and drives sales.

Why post at all?

Every post should have a purpose. Think about whether you want to:

  • Offer value (share tips, insights, or education)

  • Build new relationships and connect with clients

  • Establish credibility in your industry

  • Show your brand personality

  • Promote your products, services, or latest updates

What to post?

First, know your audience. Who are you talking to - small business owners, parents, students, professionals? Once you’re clear on that, mix up your content so it stays engaging.

Some easy content ideas:

  • Share advice, tips, or FAQs your audience asks most

  • Celebrate milestones, events, or team achievements

  • Spotlight a client success story or testimonial

  • Share behind-the-scenes of your business

  • Ask your followers’ opinions (polls work brilliantly!)

  • Collaborate or tag other businesses for cross-promotion

Formats to try:

✅ Photos & videos

✅ Blog posts & articles

✅ Infographics & graphics

✅ Reviews & testimonials

✅ Quotes, tips & industry news

Created vs Curated Content

  • Created content = what you make (blogs, graphics, videos, original posts).

  • Curated content = what you share from others (articles, industry insights, collaborations).

The best strategy? Use both. It positions you as a thought leader while keeping your feed fresh and varied.

Don’t forget engagement & analytics:

  • Always reply to comments and messages - it builds relationships.

  • Check your insights regularly to see what resonates and when your audience is online.

  • Add your social media links everywhere - website, email signature, listings - so it’s easy for people to follow you.

In summary

Plan your content, mix up your formats, stay consistent, and always focus on providing value. Social media doesn’t have to be stressful - it can be simple, fun, and a genuine driver of growth for your business.

👉 Don’t have time (or the desire) to manage your socials? That’s where I come in. I can plan, create, and schedule content for you - so you can focus on running your business.
